Sometimes man meets nature in extraordinary ways. A pair of kayakers enjoying a day of paddling found themselves not riding the waters, but rather the back of a huge whale.

According to the video, they were kayaking near Puerto Madryn in Patagonia, when they encountered several whales when one came up right under the kayak. For about 30 seconds, they sat on top of the huge marine mammal in complete shock. Then the whale moved away and the kayakers were left to continue, unharmed.

The video was uploaded by a YouTube user named "gisela6652" and is about two minutes long.

As Time Magazine noted, the video of the kayakers is quite different than recent a National Geographic video of a killer whale attacking a group of sea lion pups on the coast of Argentina. That video has garnered more than 12,000,000 views on YouTube.

The YouTube video of kayakers interacting with the whale has over 1,000,000 views and counting.
