AT&T is now selling the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active in a larger storage configuration. The carrier has added a 64 GB variant alongside the 32 GB model, which should come in handy considering its lack of microSD expansion.

Samsung has been very successful in creating spinoff devices of its flagship Galaxy S smartphone series. Over the last couple of years, the company has released smaller variants, like the Galaxy S5 Mini, in addition to its tough, rugged and water-resistant siblings, the Galaxy S5 Active and S5 Sport.

While Samsung hasn't gone on to release a Galaxy S6 Mini this year, the company did partner with AT&T exclusively on the Galaxy S6 Active, which went on sale in June. Upon its release, AT&T only offered its customers a 32 GB option, but the carrier has just announced that it is now offering customers a new 64 GB option.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 Active features a 5.1-inch 2560 by 1440 quad-HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 576 pixels per inch (ppi) and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Samsung Exynos 7420 processor and 3 GB of RAM. It comes in two storage configurations, 32 GB and the just-added 64 GB version.

The Galaxy S6 Active packs in a high-end 16 megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and a 5 megapixel front-facing shooter for video chat and selfies. The smartphone includes a large 3,500 mAh battery that will provide up to 24 hours of talk time and 21 days of standby time. As its name implies, the Galaxy S6 Active is both IP68-certified dust-proof and water-resistant. Its dimensions come in at 5.78 by 2.89 by 0.34, and the handset weighs 5.29 oz. It also supports wireless- and fast-charging out of the box.
