There was an outcry from fans of the "Batman" comics and films when Heath Ledger was cast as Joker in the Dark Knight trilogy only for them to swallow their pride later on and admit that Ledger did an incredible job with the role. It seems that Jared Leto is trying to assure the fans who are still in doubt with his casting as Joker in "Suicide Squad" with his Nov. 30 post on Twitter and Instagram.

Leto posted a meme showing Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger in one photo dressed as the iconic villain with the words "Don't worry" at the top and "Leto will make us proud" at the bottom. As for his own caption, he only placed a big heart that is almost as green as Joker's hair.

While it may seem as if Leto is oozing with confidence with regard to his portrayal of the iconic Gotham villain, later tweets showed him attempting to search for whoever was responsible to creating the meme.

Gaunted Photography responded to his tweet claiming to be the creator of the original photo and it was also revealed by another follower that it was Super Bro. Movies who added the caption. Leto even said that there were a few people who thought he was responsible for the meme but he admitted that he only shared it because he thought it was supportive and fun.

Everyone is aware of just how extreme Leto took his method of acting for the role and even he thought it was a pain at some point. "[It was like] giving birth out of my prick hole," Leto said about his process. In spite of this, Leto seems to be happy that there are some people out there who believe that he did justice to the role he was given and are eagerly anticipating seeing how he portrayed Batman's archenemy.

"Suicide Squad" will make its way to cinemas in August 2016.
