While reports are surfacing that Coldplay will headline the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show, alongside that news is the news that the band will reportedly not be releasing its new album, "A Head Full of Dreams," on Spotify, at least not immediately.

The album itself is set to go on sale this Friday, however, it won't be up immediately on Spotify, reportedly due to the fact that Spotify has a "free tier" for its streaming service. Other streaming services, such as Apple Music, will, according to reports, have the album up for streaming as soon as it becomes available.

Coldplay's decision is the latest in a string of high-profile artists to not offer their albums on the music streaming service. Taylor Swift made a similar move last year when she criticized Spotify for being a "start-up with no cash flow," pulling her latest album, "1989," from the service. More recently, Adele announced that her latest album, "25," would not be available for streaming.

Of course, the Coldplay case is a little different considering the fact that the album won't "immediately" be available, leaving it open to the service getting the new album after a few weeks or months and initial album sales have started going down. That's the same approach Coldplay took when it came to its last two albums, "Ghost Stories" and "Mylo Xyloto." If you really want the album, maybe you'll just have to go down to your local store to buy it!

Until then, the fact that Coldplay will perform at the Super Bowl is very exciting, especially considering that the band has hinted that "A Head Full of Dreams" may be its last album. Of course, this is largely speculation, but either way, a Super Bowl appearance from Coldplay highlights just how big the band has become.
