In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Nintendo's iconic Super Mario franchise, high fashion brand Moschino has launched a new collection inspired by the princess-saving plumber.

The luxury fashion house made the announcement through a post on its official website, and has uploaded images of certain items in the collection through Instagram.

Named the Super Moschino project, the collection was created by the company in collaboration with Nintendo. According to the post on the Moschino website, the collection includes a variety of items including printed t-shirts and knitted sweaters, along with bags and leather accessories such as backpacks, bucket bags, belts and wallets.

Aside from featuring Mario, some of the items in the collection also have designs inspired by other characters and items in the beloved Super Mario series, including Luigi, Princess Peach, King Koopa, stars, coins and mushrooms.

The items in the collection can be purchased beginning Dec. 5 through the Moschino website, Moschino stores such as the ones in Los Angeles and New York, or through various other retail outlets that carry the brand.

While there is no complete list yet of the actual items in the Super Moschino collection, customers that would be interested to add high-fashion Super Mario apparel into their wardrobe should prepare to pay a hefty price. T-shirts are priced at about $200 to $400 on Moschino's website, with handbags reaching prices of about $850 each depending on their style.

A few pieces from the Super Moschino collection could be a great gift item for the holidays though, as almost everybody loves the iconic video game character.

Super Mario seems to be a favorite among luxury brands lately, with luxury watchmaker Romain Jerome also having recently unveiled a piece inspired by the video game.

The Super Mario Bros. Watch is a limited edition timepiece that carries a price tag of a whopping $19,000. It features colorful details on the watch face with 3D pixel-style figures of a jumping Mario, along with a bush, a mushroom and a cloud from the video game.
