"The EscapeX platform offers people a way to experience Bob Marley's music and other content from Bob Marley in a way it has never been offered before," the late singer's daughter Cedella Marley said in a press release. "Bob Marley reaches people across the globe and in a lot of international territories where most of these people can't afford to pay for the content. We love the fact that this app gives those people access for free."

Users are able to listen Marley's music on the app both online and offline with no ads, can create playlists and earn hearts for listening, which then unlock exclusive content.

Through the app, users will also be able to use the heart feature to donate to charitable organizations such as the Jamaica-based organization run by the family, the Bob Marley Foundation.
