In honor of the premiere of The Force Awakens, video game publisher and developer EA announced that they will be holding a Double Score Weekend in Star Wars Battlefront for the first few days of the film's release. As EA themselves said, "no matter how many times you're planning on watching the movie this weekend, there will be plenty of time to take advantage."

Gamers will be able to score up to twice as much during gameplay, as well as earn twice as many credits, as they fight their way through planets like Hoth, Endor Sullust and Tatooine. The game is set 29 years before the seventh installment of the Lucasfilm franchise.

Star Wars Battlefront is available for XBox One, PS4, and PC. EA's Double Score Weekend will be held between Dec.18, 1:00 AM PST and Dec. 21, 1:00 AM PST
