Hasbro and the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo previously teamed up to find the next best game in a contest that launched earlier this year that asked game designers to share ideas for a brand new face-to-face party game. Now, the toy and board game company has finally found its winner.

Hasbro announced that it has chosen Irresponsibility: The Mr. Toast Card Game as the grand prize winner of the crowdfunding gaming challenge, taking home $10,000 and a trip to Hasbro's headquarters to meet with the company's game development team for mentoring on how to make the game a reality.

Created by Dan Goodsell from Los Angeles, Irresponsibility: The Mr. Toast Card Game is a fast-paced and family-friendly card game that has players taking turns either making the main character Mr. Toast have fun or keeping him from having fun. The game consists of a 90-card deck that includes Recreation cards, Responsibility cards and Buddy cards that all are all numbered, with the goal of getting 15 points worth of these cards to become the winner. Players can also help or hurt others with Action cards or No Way cards.

Irresponsibility: The Mr. Toast Card Game features the adorable piece of toast as the main character, along with his friends, which include Shaky Bacon, Lemon Ed, Mope the Onion and Roy the Mushroom. The game should be played with at least two players, and is suitable for ages seven and older. While it's fun and easy to play for kids, there is also some strategy involved that makes it fun for adults, too.

The game's Indiegogo campaign closed on Dec. 1, raising more than $10,000 in just one month.

Hasbro received over 500 submissions for its gaming challenge, with Irresponsibility: The Mr. Toast Card Game previously being selected as one of the five finalists.

Hasbro revealed that the card game was awarded the grand prize based on the gameplay, theme, viability and overall "fun-ness."

"The winning game, Irresponsibility: The Mr. Toast Card Game impressed us with its fresh concept, great characters and simple, but fun game play that the entire family can enjoy," Brian Chapman, head of design and development at Hasbro, said in a statement.

The other finalists in the crowdfunding gaming challenge included a card game featuring witches and wizards called Hexes!!, a game that has players act as tourists called Warning!Signs, a blindfolded game called Touchy Feely and a concentration game called SUNK!
