Battlefield 4 has been out for over a year, but what has to be the game's biggest secret was only recently discovered.

YouTuber Jackfrags calls the secret as the Illuminati Easter Egg, and it could possibly be the most elaborate easter egg ever included in a video game.

Jackfrags revealed the easter egg through a video he uploaded, which showcases the multi-stage puzzle that requires gamers to solve several code and logic puzzles, hunt for hidden items and even use an audio editor in the Dragon Valley map.

The thing is, even after watching the video, probably only the most hardcore of gamers will actually attempt at cracking the puzzle. Even with the solution posted by Jackfrags, it still entails a lot of work on the end of the gamer because the puzzles are individualized.

The reward for gamers who accept the challenge and complete the puzzles is a special camo that is normally only made available to employees of DICE, the developer of Battlefield 4.

How To Get That DICE Camo

Here is the general framework of the elaborate easter egg, just to give gamers an idea of what they would have to go through.

1. Search for a nearly invisible skull within the Dragon Valley map.
2. Once the skull is found, look for a lantern nearby that will be flashing a message from the developer in Morse Code.
3. Around an area of the level in a square, there would be some lanterns, with a few lighted up and most unlit. All the lanterns would need to be lighted up.
4. Search for small secret buttons that are hidden throughout the Dragon Valley map, which will be activating certain lights. One of the buttons is inside a tree trunk, which needs to be destroyed first to access it.
5. The goal would be to light up all the lanterns, but because the lanterns that are lit at the start are different between games, the buttons that need to be pressed for each gamer will also be different.
6. Once all the lanterns are lighted up, a keypad will be displayed near the lantern with the Morse Code message. When the keypad is pressed, another coded message is revealed.
7. The received message requires gamers to stand near a rock located in another map, and then solve another code discovered by recording an audio clip and then slowing down its playback to hear something that comes from an old meme of Battlefield.
8. The letters from the meme will be multiplied together to get a new code, which will be the same for all gamers. Inputting the code reveals a new message in Morse Code that provides gamers with an individualized code which should be inputted in a keypad which will appear in a different level.

The code will unlock the DICE camo, but it will only work for the person whom it was given to. In addition to this individualized code, gamers looking to accomplish the easter egg hunt will have to solve the earlier individualized lantern puzzle, so the feat could not be simply replicated by other gamers looking for an easy way to get the prize.

Reward Worth The Effort?

While there have been complaints that the DICE camo reward is not worth it for all the effort that needs to be put into solving the puzzle, the journey to actually accomplishing the feat is the bigger story. Just having such an elaborate easter egg in a game is awesome by itself, especially when solving it is something that only a few gamers would be able to brag about.
