Did you watch "Sharknado 2" on TV? Whether you watched it on premiere night or you haven't partaken yet, here's a date all shark and B-movie enthusiasts should mark on their calendars: Thursday, August 21, 2014.

That night and that night only, you can see "Sharknado 2: The Second One" in theaters. Fathom Events, the company that lets you see things like concerts, ballets and "Doctor Who" in theaters, is bringing Syfy's so-bad-it's-hilarious sequel to big screens everywhere. The solo screening starts at 8:00 p.m. local time, so you may want to pre-order your tickets and get there early.

"Sharknado 2: The Second One" is the intentionally ridiculous sequel the 2013 TV movie that went wildly viral based purely on its name. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid return for the follow-up, which finds their characters, Fin and April, caught up in another freak storm that sends sharks flying into the people and famous landmarks of New York City. The movie is filled to the brim with cameos from celebrity fans of the first movie, while cranking up the crazy meter to all new levels of gory silliness. (You can watch it on demand, online right now.)

"Sharknado 2" is produced by infamous shlock-movie company The Asylum, which creates "mockbuster" films that are produced as low-cost alternatives to major theatrical releases. The Asylum's catalog includes almost-familiar titles like "Paranormal Entity," "Snakes on a Train," "Almighty Thor," "Jack the Giant Killer" and "Transmorphers." "Sharknado" was not a mockbuster but an original title produced for cable TV channel Syfy.

The sequel garnered 3.9 million viewers, a ratings record for a Syfy original movie, and more than double the 1.4 million viewers who watched the first "Sharknado." Needless to say, a third movie is already in the works.

Pre-order your tickets for the theatrical showing of "Sharknado 2" here.
