You almost expect to see Harry Potter pull out a glowing sword that makes lightsaber noises.

In a new mashup trailer, the "Harry Potter" film series takes on the playfulness of the "Scott Pilgrim" movie, with large letters popping on screen to announce sound effects, splits screens of simultaneous action in a nod to comic books and silly sound effects right out of old video games.

The trailer is the the work of YouTuber The Unusual Suspect, who has a history of creating such mashup trailers, including ones like "Pulp Fiction" done in the style of the "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" trailer, "Saving Private Ryan" with the style of "Expendables 3" and even "Star Wars" done ala "Guardians of the Galaxy."

"Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" was a 2010 film directed by Edgar Wright known for its comedic use of pop culture references, such as comic book storytelling techniques, video game sound effects and film tropes. It is an adaptation of the cult-hit comic book series by Bryan Lee O'Malley, which ran for six volumes, from 2004 to 2010.

And the "Harry Potter" films were a series of eight films released from 2001 to 2011, based upon the seven bestselling fantasy novels released from 1997 to 2007, written by J. K. Rowling.
