Mike Tyson and Bitcoin have announced the launch of a new Bitcoin wallet, which is being launched in collaboration with Bitcoin Direct, the same company that helped Tyson launch a Bitcoin ATM.

The wallet will help users buy and sell Bitcoin from the wallet through the Gildera exchange, allowing them to store Bitcoin purchased at any digital currency ATM, including the Tyson-made ATM. The app is available for iOS and will soon be available for Android as well.

The app itself looks somewhat like a digital version of Mike Tyson's famous tattoo, and its background is actually a graphic of the tattoo. Bitcoin Direct says that it hopes the new app will help convert more people into using Bitcoin, a problem for the digital currency of late.

"Bitcoin Direct is pleased to partner with Mike Tyson because Tyson is a universally known star whose fan base extends generations. People around the world of all ages know Mike Tyson, and as such Tyson's potential to expand the Bitcoin market is dramatic," said Bitcoin Direct CEO Peter Klamka in a statement.

Only time will tell if the new service can convert as many people as the service hopes, however, considering the steady increase in Bitcoin value over the past few months, it certainly wouldn't be surprising if it does.
