It wasn't a new phone or watch or tablet, but Huawei seemed particularly excited to announce a bit of a change to its terrific Nexus 6P handset.

See, Huawei loves things that look like you'd have to mortgage your house to buy. Take a look at the two new smartwatch models announced today. The Elegant and the Jewel. It's right there in the name. In fact, the jewel actually sports faux diamond gems all around its face as the name implies.

The big news on the Nexus front is that the company will be offering a Matte Gold version of the Google-partnered handset, joining the already available black, white, and silver. Parties who have been waiting for just such an announcement to get on the 6P train will be in luck, starting today, as the gold phone will be available to purchase from the Google Store, Best Buy online, and select Best Buy locations.
