Although we are pretty sure that X-Files fans can't wait to watch the new six-episode series revival of the show when it's released later this month, chances are new viewers will also be tuning in for the first time.

If you fall into the new fan category, don't stress about whether or not you'll be able to stream all of the previous seasons in time (but seriously, get to binge-watching!). That's because Fox just released a new clip for the The X-Files reboot that will help catch you up to speed.

Fox released the first minute of The X-Files premiere on Monday on DoYouStillBelieve.com, which features Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) recapping all the important things from the original show that we need to know.

The clip consists of Mulder's voice narrating the storyline of the series, while photos and documents help tell the story. He speaks of how the disappearance of his sister, which he believes was an alien abduction, and his interest in extraterrestrials became an obsession, led him to work for the FBI as a paranormal investigator for the unit known as "the X-Files."

Fans will enjoy seeing some familiar faces, including Agent Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), as Mulder discusses how the two began working together.

In 2002, Mulder revealed the FBI closed down the X-Files unit, as the files are seen burning. However, his personal obsession with alien phenomena has not ceased.

After watching the clip, the viewer can then join in the conversation about the series and add the premiere date to their calendars.

The two-night season premiere of The X-Files airs on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 10 p.m. EST following the NFC Championship Game, and on Monday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
