When EA Sports unleashed its first gameplay trailer for its impending UFC 2 title this past November, it boasted what the video-game developer dubbed as its "Knockout Physics System," aimed to make gamers feel every unique impact and finish in mixed martial arts (MMA).

Well, on Tuesday, EA Sports upped the ante, releasing another gameplay trailer, delving deeper into UFC 2's Knockout Physics technology, zeroing in on submissions, grappling and defense to be specific.

"From simple setup strikes to devestating haymakers, new hit reactions provide organic visual cues that let you know just how much you have rocked your opponent," EA's narrator says in the early stages of the clip. "Land that knockout blow and you'll experience the most true-to-life physics-based knockout ever seen in an MMA game."

That being said, EA has armed gamers with the ability to block both high or low, as far as defense goes, while also being able to set up for a counterattack with greater ease in UFC 2.

Other improvements under the Knockout Physics System include 360-degree control of fighters' head movements and doing away with turn-based actions, empowering gamers to advance, defend, clinch, take to the ground and overall contend for better position more fluidly.

The sheer look of the new gameplay trailer is as smooth as Tech Times has ever seen an MMA video-game title.

UFC 2 is slated for a spring release, although the exact release date hasn't been announced just yet.
