Yes, you read that headline correctly. Kanye West said something about drones. But it was really only a matter of time, wasn't it?

West said he worries drones could fall on his 1-year-old daughter, North, and electrocute her. "Wouldn't you like to just teach your daughter how to swim without a drone flying? What happens if a drone falls right next to her? Would it electrocute her?" said West in his deposition for the lawsuit filed by the photographer he got into a fight with last summer that was obtained by TMZ. Here, West is referring to drones operated by paparazzi that snap photos of him and his family at home and that could fall from the sky if the paparazzo doesn't know how to control drones. See? He really has thought this through.

To be fair, we're all pretty much still trying to figure out this drone situation, so West's concerns are somewhat legitimate, especially since he now has his little girl to worry about. However, all in all, West has an interesting relationship with technology. He isn't afraid to speak his mind on any topic, which has provided us with many lol-worthy and downright puzzling statements through the years. Take a look at eight more crazy quotes from West about tech, and decide for yourself whether he is in fact the next Steve Jobs.

1. "I'm currently working on a new 7 screen experience." (January 2012, Twitter)

We're not really sure what this tweet (which has since been deleted) means, but we'd sure love to find out.

2. "I think what Kanye West is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means. I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of Internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period. By a long jump. I honestly feel that because Steve has passed, you know, it's like when Biggie passed and Jay-Z was allowed to become Jay-Z." (June 11, 2013, The New York Times)

So West is basically the next Steve Jobs, according to himself. Good to know.

3. "Hey, Tim Cook, the Head of Apple, stop trying to get performers to play your festivals for free ... Quit trying to act like you're so dumb." (Feb. 15, 2014, "Yeezus" Tour)

This was part of a rather long rant during West's most recent tour, but you were probably able to guess that.

4. "No one is looking at what [President] Obama is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day..." (Oct. 30, 2013, "On Air With Ryan Seacrest")

West reminds us that the First Lady and Kim Kardashian are very different people. Thanks for clearing that one up!

5. "I'm not gonna be Tesla, in my basement, inventin' all kinds of sh*t and people stealin' they ideas and you die broke!...And I'm not talking about the car. That's why I'm turnin up! That's why I'm turning! Cause I want my turn!" (Nov. 20, 2013, "Yeezus" Tour)

Another "Yeezus" show, another rant. A shout-out to Nikola Tesla is always appreciated, though.

6. "I will be the leader of a company that ends up being worth billions of dollars, because I got the answers. I understand culture. I am the nucleus." (June 11, 2013, The New York Times)

If West is the nucleus, what does that make the rest of us?

7. "I'm doing pretty good as far as geniuses go ... I'm like a machine. I'm a robot. You cannot offend a robot ..." (2005, "Tim Westwood Show")

 Just call him "KanyeBot."

8. "When people think celebrity, which is the highest form of communication—we're like walking networks or TV shows or brands in ourselves—you don't think good taste." (June 17, 2014, Cannes Lions Festival)

We want our KanyeTV.
