Nintendo is going to release a ton of new amiibo, including three for Animal Crossing and another three for Super Smash Bros. To keep the good news flowing, the video game company is also going to send out more of the four hard-to-find Pokémon figures.

Animal Crossing

Timmy & Tommy Nook, Rover and Kapp'n are three of the new amiibo characters that are well under way. Aside from the trio, Isabelle is also going to get a second version. Her original figure launched back on Nov. 13, 2015, along with Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival.

According to Nintendo, the figures will go official on March 18.

Digby will also be available soon enough, and to top it off, 100 of the third series of the Animal Crossing amiibo cards will roll out in March, making a total of 300 cards.

Super Smash Bros.

Street Fighter's Ryu and Fire Emblem's Roy will also be making their appearance in amiibo form on March 18.

What's more, Famicom ROB, who was previously an exclusive in Japan, is now about to land on western shores.

Pokémon

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Pokémon, Charizard, Jigglypuff, Greninja and Lucario amiibo figurines will hit the shelves of select retailers once again, meeting the demand of fans everywhere.

While they aren't exactly new to the scene, they have been difficult to find since they were released back in early 2016.

A quick word about rare amiibo figures – it has been confirmed that Nintendo has plans to launch amiibo cards of them to serve as replacements.

"In contrast to the current figure-shaped amiibo available, we will make amiibo in the form of cards this year as one of our future plans as Mr. Miyamoto mentioned at the Corporate Management Policy Briefing in October," Nintendo said back in February 2015.

Of course, the festivities don't end there, as The Pokémon Company is also going to offer special bundles and produce a Super Bowl ad.

Other Amiibo-Related News

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is going to come with a Wolf Link amiibo, which is the key to unlock the exclusive dungeon called the Cave of Shadows. The game is slated for release on March 4, 2016.

Last but not least, Star Fox Zero will also be getting an amiibo figure of his own on April 22.
