Platinum Games launched an official trailer for all to enjoy, after a deluge of leaks showcased elements from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan title.

Following the leak of the game's trailer, Activision pushed out the official trailer which highlights the important aspects of the game.

Both Activision and Platinum Games denied the existence of the game, until the unavoidable happened and a "leaked" teaser surfaced.

One great detail is that players will get to customize the move set of the fighters to some degree. Developers have co-op play in mind, so that team combos will be available and even encouraged to ensure thorough synchronization of the team's members.

There are some rumors about the game being an open world installment, but what is certain is that players will join in team-fights against enemies from different New York City locations.

Another important mention is that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan will sport a cel-shaded art style, just as the originally leaks showcased.

During the trailer, it becomes obvious that gamers will get 4-player co-op action against some of the famous villains from the fictional universe. The achievement list that surfaced several months ago seems to hint at many actions that require all four turtles to coordinate their efforts.

The official trailer unveils that the turtles must confront the Foot Clan in its villainous attack on New York. From the famous antagonists, fans of the Ninja Turtles' universe will recognize Shredder (who also narrates the trailer), a fire chainsaw-armed Bebop and Rocksteady. A not so famous shark villain, dubbed Armaggon, also makes its presence felt in the video.

Activision also admitted that infamous villain Krang will feature in the game.

A pleasant surprise comes from the narrative content that we get from the trailer, which hints at the fact that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan could focus on storytelling as much as on fighting.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan will land on multiple platforms this summer, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The official trailer is certainly promising, making us look forward to more details about the gameplay and possible open world elements.
