For anyone who grew up watching watching classic Nickelodeon series like Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life and Ren & Stimpy, this will probably be the best news you hear all day.

Paramount Pictures is reportedly working on a NickToons feature film that will start some of Nickelodeon's popular characters.

According to Deadline, Jared Hess is on board to direct the film, and will also serve as writer alongside his wife, Jarusha Hess. The couple are best known for co-writing films like Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre.

Mary Parent and Cale Boyter from Disruption Entertainment will produce the film.

The film follows in Marvel's footsteps of releasing Cinematic Universe films that have various superheroes sharing the screen. Ali Mendes, VP of development at Disruption Entertainment, came up with the idea to apply this blockbuster formula to create a film starring all the Nickelodeon characters we know and love.

It's not yet confirmed what characters will be included in what we would like to refer to as Nickelodeon's Cinematic Universe film, but chances are '90s fans can expect some of the classic stars like Tommy, Chuckie from Rugrats and Rocko and Spunky from Rocko's Modern Life.

There's always hope that characters from other popular Nickelodeon series will make cameos, such as those from Ren & Stimpy, Aaahh! Real Monsters,The Angry Beavers, CatDog, Doug and Hey Arnold!

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon have not yet commented on the animated film.
