T-Mobile has announced a revamped prepaid plan structure, which will offer customers more data at the same price of $40, $50 or $60 per month.

The mobile communications company previously offered 1 GB for customers on the $40 prepaid plan. T-Mobile has now tripled the data limit and now for the same price customers will get 3 GB of data. Likewise, customers paying $50 for 3 GB of data will now get 5 GB of data.

Similarly, subscribers on the $60 prepaid plan will now get 10 GB of data allowance in comparison to the 5 GB data limit that was offered previously.

All these prepaid plan features unlimited talk and text. Subscribers also get T-Mobile's Music Unlimited benefit, which means that streaming of music via participating services will not count against the customer's data cap.

T-Mobile's Binge On is also a part of the package. Customers can enjoy video streaming at standard definition (480p) for free.

T-Mobile currently offers one of the best prepaid plans in the United States. Sprint subscribers have to pay $35 for 1 GB of data and $55 for a 6 GB data limit. AT&T prepaid customers have to pay $45 for 2 GB data while Verizon offers only 1 GB for $45 a month.

The company has had a very strong 2015 with the addition of millions of new customers. T-Mobile will announce its Q4 2015 financial results in February but ahead of that announcement, it revealed some details about new customer additions during 2015 and during the final quarter of 2015.

"In 2015 we AGAIN saw 8.3 million customers come to T-Mobile, and 2.1 million in Q4 - marking 11 consecutive quarters of over 1 million net adds and 3 quarters in a row with more than 2 million total nets for the Un-carrier," says John Legere, the CEO and president of T-Mobile. "That means we added 23,000 customers per day, EVERY DAY for the last two years, so trust me when I say we have NO plans to stop disrupting the status quo in wireless!"

The above figure includes the total addition of 1.3 million prepaid customers in the whole of 2015 and about 469,000 prepaid customer additions in the fourth quarter of 2015.

The new prepaid plans look attractive enough to entice more customers in the near term. It remains to be seen if other top carriers in the United States will also revamp their prepaid plans and offer more data limit to customers.
