On Wednesday, Miles Morales will put on the red spider suit once more and take over the pages of Marvel's Spider-Man #1.

In honor of that occasion, Marvel just released a sneak peek at that first issue, including cover art and interior pages.

Miles is the creation of writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli and made his first appearance in Ultimate Fallout #4, after the death of the previous Spider-Man, Peter Parker. Miles eventually became the new Spider-Man and now gets his own ongoing series by those who created him.

Although Miles has been Spider-Man for some time, Spider-Man #1 picks up eight months after the events of Marvel's Secret Wars storyline. However, this issue will offer the first time that the public will see Miles' face, which is that of someone of black-Hispanic descent. However, that's only a small part of his story, because Miles has a lot more to deal with, especially since he's only 16 years old.

"We have a character who just went through their first big Marvel events, and these events rattled the audience so much because they know it can change the character and change the way the characters relate to each other," said Bendis to Entertainment Weekly. "And Miles just went through something huge. And even though time has passed, we can see that he's struggling to be Miles."

Now that Miles is officially part of the Marvel universe, too, what can fans expect from this new ongoing series?

"We have a nice surprise coming in issue three of someone debuting that we're not even going to hint at," teased Bendis. "All of this, plus his time as an Avenger, plus his time with younger heroes on the Avengers like Kamala and Sam — there are a lot of new team heroes that have a lot to offer each other in friendship and challenge. We are heading right towards Civil War II, and Miles is a very big part of that."

Spider-Man #1 will also feature a hip-hop variant cover by Adi Granov, as well as other variant covers by Michael Cho, Skottie Young and Mark Bagley.

Spider-Man #1 hits stores on Feb. 3.
