High chairs are made for babies, not fully-grown adults. In case you weren't aware of this, look no further than the case of this Manchester man, who for the life of him could not escape a wooden high chair.

The man, Darren, made quite the scene at an unnamed restaurant earlier this week, and thankfully his buddies were on hand to catch it all on tape with their cellphones. For three minutes Darren fights futilely against the wooden prison. His friends attempt to pry him out in nearly every position possible, all to no avail. He jumps up and down, wiggles on the ground, and squirms every way imaginable, but it is still no use. He even takes off his pants to more easily slip out. Spoiler: it doesn't work.

So what does happen? Sadly, we don't know. The video ends with the war between man and high-chair unresolved. We can only assume that the man eventually won his freedom, though it may have required a rather embarrassing call to the local police and fire departments. Whatever the outcome, it seems likely the high chair did not survive the encounter and had to come apart. The real question though is this; how did the guy get into the baby chair in the first place?
