David G. Forés is known for his roles as creative director at iClassic Collection and illustrator of the company's interactive storytelling apps iPoe and iLovecraft. But like many of us, Forés is also a devoted Star Wars fan. So much so that he has used his talent to do an #INKober Challenge on Instagram last October, where he released 31 Star Wars drawings in 31 days.

And after receiving requests for his drawings, Forés decided to release a softcover art book titled The Ink Harvest that features the illustrations from the challenge.

Forés is teaming up with the publisher Play Attitude to print The Ink Harvest, and recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the project. However, the Star Wars art book will only be available for Kickstarter backers with no trade editions planned to be published.

The pocket-sized art book designed by Desiree Arancibi  is 5.86 by 5.86 inches and features 80 pages filled with the illustrations and quotes. The illustrations include characters from both the dark and light side including Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Yoda and Padme Amidala.

Along with these popular characters, the book will also feature secondary characters and creatures like Ewok and Bantha.

"For me, they just have too much charisma not to be recognized," Forés writes.

The name for the art book is inspired by the fictitious production title Blue Harvest that was given to help keep the film Episode VI: Return of the Jedi a secret.

Those who pledge about $20 will get a physical copy of The Ink Harvest, as well as a PDF version. But Star Wars fans on a budget who still want this limited-edition art book can pledge $3 to get just the PDF version.

Of course there are extra rewards given to those who are willing to give up a little bit more cash, such as a set of 4 Metallic Greeting Cards as part of the $26 bundle, or both the greeting cards and a set of 3 wool pulp board prints, which are perfect for hanging on a wall, for $34.

Star Wars fans who share the project can enter to win a customized picture with a lightsaber after sending a screenshot to naiara@playattitude.com.

The Kickstarter campaign has raised more than $14,000 of its $19,625 goal with 10 more days to go. The Ink Harvest is expected to be shipped in July 2016.
