Clive Standen has sailed the seas as the formidable Scandinavian warrior Rollo, brother of Ragnar Lothbrok, in the historical drama "Vikings," protected the kingdom as King Arthur's nephew, Sir Gawain in "Camelot" and served under UNIT as Private Carl Harris in the science-fiction series, "Doctor Who." Now Standen is taking on another epic role as young Bryan Mills in the NBC series reboot of "Taken."

That is right, Standen is the young version of Liam Neeson and everybody will finally get to see how he acquired and used his particular set of skills while he served under the Central Intelligence Agency.

There is no confirmed plot for the straight-to-series reboot yet, only that it will revolve around a younger Mills as he develops his skills as a member of the Emergency Covert Action Team. You won't find any of the problems he faced in the "Taken" trilogy because Mills is apparently unmarried and without children for the series.

We all know just how great Mills' particular set of skills are but we also know he is not exactly "Father of the Year" even if he rescued his daughter in the first "Taken" film. After all, "Taken 2" would not have happened if it was not for his impulsive decision-making.

No, it was not Bryan's fault at all. It was all the kidnappers' fault.

"The West Wing" director Alex Graves will direct the pilot but worry not because "Taken" director Luc Besson will executive produce the series so it is less likely to deviate from the Brian Mills we all know and are scared of.

Liam Neeson starred in the "Taken" trilogy as retired CIA agent Bryan Mills who ends up using his skills and contacting old acquaintances in order to find his daughter who was kidnapped in Paris and sold in the black market. Of course, he leaves a trail of bodies which lead to "Taken 2" where his ex-wife and daughter are abducted as part of a revenge plot after Bryan killed the terrorist's son in the previous film. "Taken 3" deals with Bryan trying to find his ex-wife's real killer after he was framed for the murder.
