Although Dying Light: The Following added an expansive new area with its last piece of DLC, players will still get four new community maps free with the next update of the game.

Dying Light developer Techland announced the new maps today, which also include a few stories for gamers to play, as well as areas to explore.

The best part, though, is that players with Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition will get all four maps for free. It's just some additional content and gameplay time added because the game developer wanted you to have even more fun squashing zombies with your dirt buggy and taking on those scary undead that come out only after dark.

First up, is "The Tunnel," a choice-based horror story, where Kyle Crane goes deep beneath the city and must make choices that will affect the outcome of the entire mission. Choose correctly: people's lives are at stake.

"Climb Down to 21" is for those who want a little lighter fun: it's an arcade-style parkour adventure, where it's all about running, jumping and climbing.

"The Hunter" is probably the most intense of the new adventures because it takes Kyle into a zombie-infested forest, where hordes of the undead live and the key goal is to survive. Just how many zombies can you kill before they get to you?

Finally, the fourth map is TeeVee, a nightmare experience that pits Kyle against the undead at night, when the really dangerous creatures come out to play.

Players wanting to add the new maps only have to do one thing: download the latest update for the game when prompted. The update also includes a few game patches, including stability improvements, bug fixes and balance tweaks.

Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition includes DLC for last year's Dying Light: this DLC features a massive new outback for Kyle to explore. The DLC also added a new transportation option, a customizable buggy, that doesn't just act as a way to get from Point A to Point B, but also serves as a valuable tool for taking down zombies. The story for "The Following" follows Kyle as he attempts to find out the secrets of a mysterious cult that could have ties to the zombie apocalypse.
