It's not every day you see the president of a major company dance to the closing sequence of a children's anime, but that's exactly what happened during Nintendo's European Direct yesterday.

It was glorious, mostly because nobody was expecting it. Yo-Kai Watch is soon releasing in Europe for the Nintendo 3DS, so when the outro sequence for the popular Yo-Kai Watch TV show began to play during the Direct, complete with music, it didn't seem out of the ordinary. Then, Nintendo of Europe's Satoru Shibata donned the stage to dance alongside the anime characters, and it was a beautiful sight to see.

He's not half bad at the dance, either, matching all the motions, just like the animated children and creatures on the screen. Our guess is that he practiced this dance alone more than a few times before stepping into the spotlight during the Direct. Just think about that for a moment.

If your train of thought led you to the conclusion that this is a great executive, you're not alone. We agree. Shibata is just another in a long line of Nintendo executives who never cease to amaze. Just like Reggie Fils-Aime at Nintendo of America and the late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, Shibata isn't afraid to have fun and risk looking silly in front of thousands. Nintendo is all about fun, and its executives regularly put that fun on display. Other entertainment company executives should take note.

You can watch Shibata's dance at around the 19:00 minute mark in the video below. Trust us, it's worth it.

In other Nintendo news, the company dropped a ton of announcements during its various Direct video conferences yesterday. Super Nintendo games are arriving on the New Nintendo 3DS eshop, a new Kirby game is coming, more details about Star Fox Zero were revealed, a new Paper Mario for the Wii U was announced and much, much more. All around, it was a good day for Nintendo, and fans are no doubt expecting big things from the company as it prepares to unveil its codename NX console this summer.
