Ah, the youths.

The YouTube content creator Fine Brothers Entertainment added a new video to its lineup, and like its name suggests, "Teens React to Windows 95" is filled with kids saying the darndest things about a computer that is probably older than they are (but no, it actually is — as the name of the operating system connotes, the beloved Windows model is roughly 20 years of age).

The outcome is pretty much what you'd expect — fraught with hyperbole. The group of kids in the video refer to the old desktop as "prehistoric" and "dull and ancient."

The commentary doesn't stop with the computer hardware, though. According to one girl, "CDs are like old libraries," and your typical floppy disk can be summed up succinctly as "... that square thing, right?"

We can't forget this gem: "What's a modem?!" which is then followed by, "So, you have to use your phone ... to go on the Internet?" Quizzical looks ensue.

Another girl in the video can't conceive of a computerized world without Wi-Fi, and is duly rendered speechless after letting out a series of semi-discernable sounds that may or may not be the word "what?" A second kid stares at the screen for a moment, slightly slack-jawed, and marvels at how few programs are available to use. Literally all of the teens more or less freak out over the idea of searching for files via code.

Despite some obvious differences, the interface was still recognizable: one participant described it as "rough" around the edges, but more or less the same.

We also have to give credit where credit is due: some of the young'uns make some poignant observations. One points out that it's scary to think that we're so attached to Wi-Fi now that we can't imagine going without it; another highlighted the longevity of the Windows "start" button.

We can all agree on one thing, though: no one misses those AOL free trials or losing hours and hours while waiting for their computer to finally connect to the Internet via dial-up. "Initialize ..."

Watch teens predictably freak out over an old Windows desktop in the video clip below.
