Ubisoft's Far Cry Primal is a gorgeous game, filled with lush forests, serene waterfalls and majestic (and deadly) wildlife. Now, the latest update to the game makes the already-stunning prehistoric FPS even more beautiful by adding the ability to disable Far Cry Primal's crowded HUD.

The patch notes for the game's second update went live yesterday, with Ubisoft community manager Ubi_Jax offering the following summary of the changes and fixes coming to the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

"This update introduces several game fixes, along with some additional HUD changes, including the ability to disable the HUD entirely, which should allow for some spectacular prehistoric photo opportunities!" the post reads.

Being HUD-free certainly makes the game even more striking than before. All of Far Cry Primal's on-screen indicators and large mini-map may be convenient, but they can just as easily take players out of the "caveman" experience that Ubisoft is trying to create. Turning off the HUD makes for a much more immersive experience for certain, and it helps that it also makes the game's prehistoric vistas even more impressive.

If, however, you don't want to ditch the HUD entirely, Ubisoft is also adding the option to turn off enemy markers on the mini-map, making it so that players will have to rely on their senses to find their prey.

Other than that, the majority of the update is dedicated to fixing various bugs, such as issues where players are unable to travel fast or even loot items. Some missing audio and sound effects have even been added. Most of the glitches sound like they are fairly rare occurrences, but it's still nice to see Ubisoft updating the game in the weeks after its launch.

Considering Far Cry Primal doesn't have a season pass or DLC content to sell, the fact that Ubisoft is updating the game simply for the sake of creating a better experience for current players is a nice gesture.
