One of the best things about Destiny is collecting the game's wide assortment of unique (and extremely cool-looking) exotic weaponry. From heavy machine guns to shotguns, sniper rifles to rocket launchers, Destiny is filled with some truly killer weapon designs that have now become iconic.

Perhaps it isn't surprising then that the game's 3D weaponry looks equally great when rendered in 2D form, as seen in this stylish animation from Fernando Design on YouTube. The video features 10 of Destiny's most iconic weapons, ranging from assault rifles like Suros Regime to snipers like the powerful Ice Breaker.

"Here is a project I have put on hold for the longest time," the description for the video reads. "I should have released this sooner, back when the game still had a lot of life to it, but nonetheless here it is. I chose 10 of my favorite exotics from the game, replicated Tyler Zenk's models and animated everything myself from scratch (including the 3D ghost at the end)."

Every last detail of the in-game weapons have made the transition to 2D in the video, and watching each weapon come together from various parts is an impressive sight. Even in 2D, these weapons stand out as iconic and formidable tools of destruction.

The video even went so far as to catch the eye of developer Bungie, which posted a link to the video on Facebook and Twitter for fans of the game to check out. You can check out the full video below and see for yourself what all the fuss is about.

Soon, Fernando Design will have even more exotic guns to choose from, as Destiny is poised to receive its first major post-The Taken King content update in April. The update will include new quests, a new strike, a revamped end-game version of the Prison of Elders and, of course, new weapons and gear for which players can strive to obtain. Players will also be able to grow even stronger, as the game's light level cap is being raised to 335. You can read more about some of the new content on the way here.
