Have your penny ready. Microsoft has finally kick-started shipping out its Surface Hub, the company's "first-of-its-kind" large-screen solution aimed at making meetings more productive.

Brian Hall, General Manager for Microsoft Devices Marketing, has posted a blog post saying that the company's Microsoft Surface Hub has already commenced shipping to its business customers.

"We are excited to see how Surface Hub will bring people together to work, create and learn in new ways," says Hall. "We are not just releasing a powerful device. We are releasing a team-empowering solution that will make meetings more productive, modernize workflows and let people engage with data much better."

This humongous tablet comes in two variants: a 55-inch model carrying a price of $8,999 and an 84-inch one which is poised to cost a whopping $21,999.

Do note, however, that the Surface Hub is not built for home use, but rather for businesses so as "they work together better" and to bring a new level of competence and innovation in workspaces.

Specifically, the Surface Hub is targeted at automotive, healthcare, manufacturing, defense, consulting, education, finance and design fields.
