Android Marshmallow is finally reaching Samsung Galaxy S5 owners from markets outside South Korea, and even more rollouts are expected.

Samsung followed its habit of first releasing an OS update in its home market before deploying it into international areas. This is why South Korean Galaxy S5 (model number SM-G900L) owners were the first to get a taste of Android Marshmallow.

Good news come from Trinidad and Tobago, where the update reached Galaxy S5 (SM-G900M) devices.

Users from the country may either wait to get notifications of the update or manually download it from SamMobile's firmware section. The over-the-air update is pretty consistent, weighing in 1.47 GB. It is recommended that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network while you download it. Also, have your handset fully charged to make sure the installation goes smoothly and without interruptions.

The update, which carries the ID G900MUBU1CPC3, will take the Android version of your Galaxy S5 smartphone directly to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Android 6 Marshmallow packs a number of strong features. Doze mode battery is one of them, and the OEM touts that it will significantly expand the time between charges. The feature basically filters background data and optimizes processes while you don't use the phone so that the minimum amount of power is being used.

People familiar with the mobile industry say that Google Now on Tap may be the best thing that Marshmallow brings. That is because the feature is based on machine learning and contextual search, meaning that it offers a myriad of functionalities. Via Google Now on Tap, you get the best out of screen content recognition, Google Now integration and the AI personal assistant.

For texting enthusiasts, you should know that Marshmallow comes loaded with 200 new emojis.

App permissions and app links are other new features that stand along direct-sharing options and Chrome custom tabs.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is not the only device that received the Marshmallow update. We recently reported on Galaxy Note 4 handsets (from U.S. carrier Sprint) that started receiving the latest Android OS.
