Oswald, aka Penguin, gets to know his new family a little better on Monday night's episode of Gotham.

A clip released from that episode shows Oswald sharing a family dinner with his father, Elijah Van Dahl, along with his new family, as they talk about everything from ghosts to how the family originally came together.

However, it becomes immediately clear that Oswald's new family isn't too happy about his appearance in their lives, especially because he's the only blood relative of Elijah's. And considering that Elijah is a very wealthy man, that threatens the rest of the family's future potential wealth.

Recently, Dr. Strange released Oswald from Arkham Asylum with a clean bill of mental health, and even after getting taunted, it seems that he is a reformed man: he's become more docile and peaceful, but as he is the notorious Penguin, how long will that last?

It's likely that this new family will serve as the impetus for returning Penguin to his murderous roots, especially since it seems that they already plan on doing what they can to oust him from the family (and with this being Gotham, that means they'll probably want to kill him to guarantee that they become heirs to the Van Dahl fortune). This means that Penguin will have to defend himself, and that will probably mean resorting to violence in one form or another, bringing our beloved villain back to the fold.

Meanwhile, Monday's episode will also likely feature more of another iconic Batman villain, the Riddler. Edward Nygma has already started going down the path of this legendary villain, using his infamous riddle tactics to divert the GCPD after they start investigating the disappearance of Kris Kringle, his ex-girlfriend that he killed.

"It's not like he's decided, 'Oh, I am the Riddler, I'm going to be famous for puzzles and I'm going to use a question mark as my calling card,' " Cory Michael Smith, the actor behind the character, said to The Hollywood Reporter. "It just kind of happens. It's the birth of the Riddler, and he doesn't know it yet. This is an exciting moment where he's like, 'I'm really good at this!' "

Gotham airs at 8 p.m. EDT Mondays on Fox.
