When Loki delivers the weather report, it's probably a good idea to batten down the hatches.

Actor Tom Hiddleston, who portrays Loki in the Marvel movies, recently stepped in as weatherman for Chicago's Fox 32 and delivered the bad news about an incoming storm for the area. Being Loki, though, he blamed Thor for the forecast.

"My brother from another mother's been misbehaving," Hiddleston said. "The god of thunder has brought his skill set to bear on the local weather today. So there's this huge storm front coming in, and all that means is that Chris Hemsworth has taken his hammer and has smashed it on the surface of the sky, and it's going to rain a hell of a lot. So, good luck with that."

Hiddleston was in the studio promoting his latest movie, "I Saw The Light," a biopic about the life of country legend Hank Williams. Hiddleston will also appear in the next "Thor" movie, "Thor: Ragnarok," but recently admitted that it might serve as his last turn as the god of mischief.

"'Thor 3' will be cool because I've not done it for four years," Hiddleston said. "I love working with Chris [Hemsworth]. This will be my last time out of the gate."

That doesn't mean that he's leaving the role of his own volition, though. Later comments made by the actor make it seem that he's just not sure if Marvel will have him back, even though his depiction of the character keeps him in the running as a fan favorite.

Hiddleston also has "The Night Manager" series coming up, which will air in the United States on AMC this month, as well as another movie, "Kong: Skull Island." Hiddleston is one of the most sought-after actors these days, so it's not like he needs the work. But he does seem to enjoy playing Loki: at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, he even appeared on stage in costume as the character, leaving the audience chanting "Loki" over and over.

"I Saw The Light" premiered on March 25. "Thor: Ragnarok" won't hit theaters until 2017.
