Bluetooth wireless keyboards are undoubtedly one of the most sought-after accessories among tech geeks today. With a wide range of models to choose from, it's still nice to know that there are a lot of design possibilities that could enter the market once in a while. One good example is the new K480 Bluetooth Keyboard from Logitech.

The K480 Bluetooth Keyboard is the most versatile keyboard to date. While others are designed to connect with either a tablet or a smartphone, the K480 is made to be compatible to both the tablet, the smartphone, and even to one's PC. To enable this feature, the K480 is built with a petite knob which can be turned to automatically allow connection to a chosen device. It's similar to watching TV where there are three channels namely PC, tablet, and smartphone.

Once the K480 is successfully paired with a device, the Easy-Switch dial can be turned to alternate the use between different devices. With this versatility, one can fulfill several tasks such as writing an email, responding to a text message, and switching back to the PC using just a single keyboard.

The design team must have thought a lot about maximizing space and functionality in a Bluetooth keyboard. Probing closer at the new K480 Bluetooth keyboard, one would notice a dock layout which allows docking of either one's smartphone or tablet. Depending on the size of both devices, the dock layout could perhaps accommodate even both devices at the same time. However, there is a width limit to the device which means that it cannot accommodate a 6" mobile phone and a 10" tablet at the same time. The docking station operates through Bluetooth, runs on triple A batteries, and connects with Android, iOS, and Windows devices. It measures 310 by 41 by 201mm (12.2 x 1.6 x 7.9in) in size and weighs at 1.03kg.

With its portability and lightweight features, the K480 Bluetooth Keyboard could also be a good travel accessory companion. It can easily fit into one's travel bag without the hassle of creating a bulky look. Its sleek feature makes it easy to pull out when there's a need to make a quick email message or respond to a received text.

The K480 Bluetooth Keyboard is launching in the U.S. and Europe later this month. Logitech is unveiling its new flagship keyboard at the upcoming IFA in Berlin. The available colors are black and white while the price tag is set at $49.99.
