Nokia's first Windows tablet, the Lumia 2520 will be available from AT&T starting Nov. 22, the company announced. The 10-inch tablet is sporting Windows RT 8.1 OS and will cost $400 with a two-year contract.

The company will be offering the black tablet for just $200 if you buy it together with a Lumia 925, Lumia 1020 or Lumia 1520.

Going through the specifications, the Lumia 2520 looks more robust in comparison to its contemporaries like Apple's iPad Air. A better camera (6.7 MP), a great battery life (8,000 mAh), crisp 1080p 10-inch display and 32GB storage earn a thumbs up for the device. Factors like built-in Microsoft Office suite and Outlook certainly help it score over other tablets, but not iPad Air as applications like Pages, Numbers and Keynote will be free for the iOS device users as well.

However, an expandable memory micro-SD card slot definitely gives Lumia 2520 an edge over the iPad Air.

"Full Microsoft Office on the Lumia 2520 makes working on the go as easy as being entertained by your apps, music and video," Chris Penrose, senior vice president of emerging devices at AT&T Mobility, said in a press release. "That plus a killer design makes it truly a tablet for everyone."

iPad Air or Lumia 2520? Well, it all boils down to the price point and the operating system. 32GB iPad Air retails for $599 (WiFi) and $729 for iPad Air (WiFi + Cellular), while Lumia 2520 is only for $399.99. However, remember that with the Nokia tablet, you;re stuck with a two-year contract.

As for the operating system, iOS 7 beats Windows RT 8.1 anyday, simly because of the Apple ecosystem and the range of apps available for the iPad.

Lumia 2520 is a good start but Microsoft-owned company still has to go a long way before it can challenge the dominance of the iPad in the tablet market.
