Each recipe featured in Oliver's app come with a complete list of ingredients and step-by-step instructions on how to prepare the meal, complete with photos and video tutorials. There is also an additional section called Tips and Tricks, where Oliver shares some of his cooking secrets in preparing the best dishes.

Freemium users receive 15 recipes that rotate weekly. There is however, a fuller version of the app available for purchase that unlocks additional recipes and tutorials.

Oliver considers himself a "food revolutionary" and has long been campaigning for healthy, delicious cooking. It was in June 2015 when Oliver announced that he will implement "sugar tax" on sodas and sweetened drinks served in his restaurants, as TechTimes previously reported. This was his way of protest against the UK government's refusal to apply additional taxation on soda companies.

"I've seen first-hand the heartbreaking effects that poor diet and too much sugar is having on our children's health and futures," Oliver said at that time.

He blames food and drinks that are high in sugar for the increasing cases of obesity and tooth decays among school children. Oliver advocates serving healthier dishes and controlling food portions in order to fight health-related issues caused by obesity.
