Whispers of the Old Gods, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft's hotly awaited expansion, is set to land later this month, and players can grab 13 card packs at no cost.

These 13 free packs of expansion cards were revealed during the Whispers of the Old Gods Livestream on April 22.

User AdamNW shared on Reddit how to get them.

These free packs are viewed as Blizzard's offering to players who are looking for a good reason to stick with the renowned game.

Here is how players can unlock every single free card pack.

1. Players have to log in to the game during the release week of the Whispers of the Old Gods expansion. By doing so, gamers will get three free packs. The new expansion drops on April 26.

2. Players can grab five free packs once they win two games in the new Standard format.

3. As soon as players win another seven games in the Standard format, they will be given another five free packs.

That's not all Blizzard is giving away. It will also dish out three free bonus cards. Players can grab two Beckoner of Evil cards and a C'Thun card when they log in to Hearthstone during the expansion's launch week.

Gamers will have a total of 68 free cards when they follow the instructions above. Usually, the 13-card packs are priced at $13 on the Hearthstone store. These 13 packs come with a total of 65 cards.

The expansion will bring with it a total of 134 new cards along with nerfs to a few old favorites.

Before Blizzard officially announced Whispers of the Old Gods, a humongous painting was spotted on the side of a New York building that hinted at the name of the forthcoming expansion.

YouTuber Disguised Toast also gave away a few more clues related to the new expansion prior to its official announcement, saying Blizzard modified five cards on the game's official website to a selection that is associated with "the Old Gods." Yes, Disguised Toast was right.

Whispers of the Old Gods is the third expansion thus far for Hearthstone. This follows Goblins vs. Gnomes, which rolled out in December 2014, and The Grand Tournament, which was pushed out in August 2015.
