After waiting for months, HBO finally debuted the season 6 premiere of Game of Thrones last night. And unless you have a spoiler blocker installed, you know that last night's episode titled "The Red Woman" was one that you could not miss — especially when it came to that ending when...ah no worries, we're not gonna spoil that here.

While it's safe assume that fans of the show were watching the premiere on the largest TV possible, many people were actually streaming the series from the HBO Now app.

According to data from Apptopia, the market intelligence company for mobile apps, HBO Now significantly climbed Apple's app charts, thanks to the release of Game of Thrones.

On Sunday, Apptopia found that HBO Now moved up the ranking to become the number 11 title in the "Top Overall" category in the App Store. What's even more impressive is that the app was crowned the number 1 spot in "Entertainment," beating out Netflix which held the number 1 spot for more than the next three weeks.

The data revealed that on April 24, the release date for Game of Thrones season 6, the HBO Now app was downloaded 25,395 times compared to season 5's release April 12, 2015, which had 19,681 downloads.

On Sunday, the app also had 429,670 daily active users, which was two times as many as the weeks leading up to the release, which had an average of 195K users.

In the last 30 days, HBO's standalone streaming service made about $300,000 in revenue, Apptopia reported.

As for Google Play, HBO Now has 31,699 downloads on Sunday, making it the number three app in "Entertainment," followed by Netflix and Hulu, and is number 54 in the "Overall" category.

HBO Now is the premium cable network's standalone service that allows users to stream content without needing a cable subscription. The service costs $14.99 per month, but features a wide library of movies and TV series, including the releases of new episodes of GoT at the same time they air on TV.

HBO Now is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android, Roku, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Samsung.
