Call of Duty's latest installment is coming out on May 2, at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time, according to game developer Infinity Ward.

At the end of April, publisher Activision teased fans of the first-person shooter with a cryptic video that hints at some of the intriguing aspects of the upcoming game.

Fans of the series will be able to watch the launch of the title live, on the official Call of Duty Twitch channel. During the streaming, Activision will discuss their bold, new vision for Call of Duty.

Multiple sources point out that the full title of the soon to be here game is Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

"I want people to play our new game and say like, 'Wow, I haven't seen CoD change that much since Modern Warfare [COD 4]," Jacob Minkoff, the game's design director, notes in a video.

Speaking of the wolf, rumors surfaced about a remastered edition of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which could land this year, as well. No sooner than last week, a leaked photo seemed to indicate that the Legacy Edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will come with a bonus in the form of the revamped Modern Warfare title.

If Polygon is to be trusted, the new Modern Warfare edition will feature the full single-player campaign and as many as 10 multiplayer maps.

"Know Your Enemy" is the title of the teaser that hyped up the CoD community and hinted at some of the title's developments.

In it, gamers are met by an intimidating man who claims that his organization will "build monuments to your destruction," as he and his brothers in arms are the "architects of your pain." During the teaser, he unveils that his group is dubbed the Settlement Defense Front, and they play the antagonist in the upcoming Call of Duty.

Speculations are in store that Infinity Ward chose to embed a space concept on the next Call of Duty iteration. With the last two titles in the series breeding a futuristic feel, the move might not be as surprising. Both Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3 were peppered with robotic and high-tech enemies, so placing the upcoming game in space might not seem so far off.
