Lionsgate has been teasing Hunger Games fans with moody propaganda posters and advertisements for months, but now it's finally here: the first full-length trailer for the first part of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay."

After being rescued from the Hunger Games at the end of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) finds herself in the middle of all-out rebellion against the Capitol, and she is the symbol that will rally the troops. She doesn't seem too happy about that in the trailer. Even worse, her friend Peta is being used in much the same way by the Capitol, held hostage by the always smug President Snow and forced to speak out against the rebellion on live-TV for the millions watching. Check out the action below.

One thing from watching the trailer is clear: it is all out war between the capital and the districts, with the fighter jets, bombs, and explosive arrow tips sure to rack up more casualties than all the Hunger Games combined. We also get a brief glimpse of a few returning characters from the previous films, as well as newcomers like "Game of Thrones" actress Natalie Dormer.

Katniss is primarily focused with rescuing Peta from the Capitol. That likely isn't going to be easy, and rebel leaders don't seem content to let Katniss have her way, believing her to be too valuable to the cause.

Of course, this film won't be the entire conclusion to the "Hunger Games" franchise. The third book from the popular young adult novel series of the same name has been split into two parts. Part one will be releasing on Nov. 21 of this year, with the franchise concluding with part two next year. Until then, this explosive trailer will just have to hold everybody over.
