Assassin's Creed Unity isn't even out yet and developer Ubisoft is already detailing some of the downloadable content players will be able to get their hands on in the months after Unity's release.

Those who purchase the DLC season pass for the game will be receiving three new pieces of content: new missions, weapons and armor for the main game, an expansion called Dead Kings set in the French city of Saint Denis, and a brand-new side-scrolling Assassin's Creed title set in China. Check out the trailer for the season pass below.

The Dead Kings DLC is set after the events of Unity in a post-revolution France and will have main character Arno journeying to the troubled city of Saint Denis, home to an extensive underground network that holds the crypts of long-dead French kings. Arno will explore the crypts, solve puzzles and embark on open-world activities like treasure hunts and murder mysteries. Gear unlocked in the DLC will carry over to the main game.

As exciting as that sounds, it is the brand-new Assassin's Creed game, called Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China, that is of real interest. For the first time an Assassin's Creed game will be a side-scrolling action title, featuring a unique new art style and bringing players to China for the first time in the series. The developers promise that Chronicles will stay true to the core idea of Assassin's Creed as you explore historical settings and meet the famous men and women of the time period. As the Assassin Shao Jun, players will collect new gear and use martial arts to take out enemies. Though the game will likely be available to download by all eventually, much like the DLC content for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, this new downloadable game will likely be exclusive to season pass holders for a limited time.

There is currently no price on any of the newly announced content, but Ubisoft says those who buy the Season Pass, which includes all the DLC for the game, will be getting a 30 percent discount as opposed to buying every piece of DLC separately. All the content above will be coming sometime in early 2015. Assassin's Creed Unity launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Nov. 11. The entirely different, last-gen only Assassin's Creed Rogue will also be releasing Nov. 11, and will star an Assassin turned Templar as he hunts down his onetime comrades during the French and Indian War.
