The studio behind the Saints Row series Volition is now back, bringing with it an all-new game. Say hello to Agents of Mayhem.

Announced via IGN on June 6, Agents of Mayhem is a story-driven, single-player title set in an explorable open world, particularly in the locales of Seoul, South Korea.

It is worth mentioning that this new property shares a universe with Saints Row. However, it comes with its very own storylines and unique characters.

The Characters

Volition has already introduced the three main characters of the game, including Hardtack, Fortune and Hollywood. These characters have their own cool gadgets and guns along with abilities to play with.

1. Hardtack — this character possesses a harpoon.

2. Fortune — the character has dual energy pistols and is described as Brazilian short-range specialist.

3. Hollywood — this character is the game's assault guy.

These three agents will be part of the Multinational Agency for Hunting Evil Masterminds (MAYHEM). The team will battle against the League of Gentlemen Intent on Obliterating Nations (LEGION).

It is interesting to note that players can easily swap between the characters to succeed through an array of challenges.

As for the release date of this new Volition's baby, it is believed to land on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in the coming year.

It is expected that Volition will show off the game next week during the E3 in Los Angeles.

IGN reports that in the succeeding months, here are the things that will be shown off:
