Mark those calendars, as every MMA fan out there now has a chance to enjoy EA Sports UFC 2 free of charge on the Xbox One and PS4 at certain times.

To get in on the action, players have to download the demo version of the title first. After that, they will be eligible to jump into the full game for up to five hours, starting from July 6 at 10:00 a.m. PDT to July 11 at 10:00 a.m. PDT.

Here's how to step into the virtual Octagon on the consoles without paying a dime:

Xbox One

Step 1: Go to the Store.

Step 2: Click on the search function.

Step 3: Type in "EA Sports UFC 2" and select the title in the results.

Step 4: Download the demo and wait for the promised day.

PS4

Step 1: Go to the PlayStation Store.

Step 2: Do a search for "EA Sports UFC 2" and select the title in the results.

Step 3: Head on over to the Demo section.

Step 4: Download the demo and wait for the free-play event to kick off.

Note: All the game modes will be available to players who are joining in on the fun, including but not limited to Knockout Mode, Live Events with the UFC 200 fight card and UFC Ultimate Team. Interestingly, Bas Rutten hosted a tutorial for KO Mode, and as expected, it's both informative and entertaining as heck.

For those who don't know, EA Sports UFC 2 hit the shelves back in March. That means anyone who's still unsure about buying the game now has the opportunity to try it out for a couple of hours and nab it whenever they want.

It should also be pointed out that a lot of people consider it to be one of the most realistic fighting games to land on consoles, arguably making it one of the best in the market.

"EA Sports UFC 2 innovates with stunning character likeness and animation, adds an all new Knockout Physics System and authentic gameplay features and invites all fighters to step back into the Octagon to experience the thrill of finishing the fight. From the walkout to the knockout, EA Sports UFC 2 delivers a deep, authentic and exciting experience," EA says.

Recently, the game also saw the arrival of Content Update 5, bringing in three new fighters: Josh Samman for the men's middleweight, Lorenz Larkin for the welterweight division and Leonardo Santos for the lightweight category.
