More Samsung Galaxy Note 7 details are surfacing ahead of the official launch early next month, with European pricing now adding to the leaks.

The highly anticipated Galaxy Note 7 will make its official debut on Aug. 2, as Samsung formally confirmed the date and explained why it went for the Note 7 moniker instead of the Note 6.

Even before Samsung made it official, leaks had already pegged the launch for Aug. 2 and offered various details regarding what to expect from the device. Leaks continue to pile up and the latest one now reveals the purported pricing for the Galaxy Note 7 in Europe. If this turns out to be accurate, the high-end flagship will cost quite a pretty penny.

As SamMobile reports, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 could well be the company's most expensive flagship to date. Citing anonymous sources, the publication says the Galaxy Note 7 could start at €849 in Europe, which would translate to roughly $940 based on current conversion rates. For reference, that price is €50 (about $55) higher than that of the Galaxy S7 edge curved-screen flagship from the OEM.

Should this price turn out to be accurate, the Galaxy Note 7 would indeed be the most expensive Note so far. Moreover, SamMobile says the Note 7 could start at that whopping price, which means it could cost even more for higher-end configurations with more storage. Samsung is expected to offer 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB storage options, ditching the 32 GB base model.

On the other hand, one thing is worth taking into account: European pricing typically includes VAT, so tax is already accounted for. U.S. prices, meanwhile, typically leave out the tax, so they seem more affordable by comparison. On the other hand, there have also been plenty of cases when devices were actually more affordable in the U.S. than in Europe, especially in markets with high premiums such as the UK.

The whole Brexit deal may spike device prices even further in the UK, as we've already seen it happen with the OnePlus 3.

It remains to be seen whether the Galaxy Note 7 leaked price for Europe turns out to be accurate, but one thing's for sure. The device will pack top-notch specs and features such as an advanced iris scanner, a new S Pen stylus and more, and high-end specs usually come with a price to match.

We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear more, so stay tuned. In the meantime, take all leaks and rumors with a grain of salt.
