Looking for DRM-free games? Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition, Dead Space and Sim City 3000 Unlimited have just become available on GOG with none of the strings attached.

There are many things that can be said against Electronic Arts but there's no denying that the company is responsible for some of the most memorable video game titles to ever grace the market, including the three that were recently made available DRM-free via GOG.

Released in 2010, 2008 and 2000, respectively, Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition, Dead Space and Sim City 3000 Unlimited are not only available DRM-free but also at a discount! Dragon Age: Origins and Dead Space are both retailing for $7.99 (down 60 percent from $19.99), while Sim City 3000 is available at $4.99 (down 50 percent from $9.99).

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition is listed to include the base game, the Awakening expansion pack and all nine content packs, as well as 10 wallpapers and the game's soundtrack. Dead Space, on the other hand, will come with four wallpapers and two avatars, while Sim City 3000 Unlimited will feature two wallpapers and a quick reference card.

In June, GOG launched GOG Connect to help players import DRM-free games from Steam into their GOG libraries for download. At least 20 games can be imported from Steam libraries but the migration service won't support friends lists, Steam saves or achievements. In short, just the games are transferred to GOG libraries.

GOG Connect was made possible by partnerships with the likes of TaleWorlds and Deep Silver. However, users have to take note that games may only be imported for a limited time only. Currently, no games are listed as eligible for GOG Connect but some of those that have been supported by the service before include:

• Breach & Clear
• Broken Swords: Director's Cut
• FTL: Advanced Edition
• Project Zomboid
• Saints Row 2
• Shadowrun Returns
• Sherlock Holmes: Secrets of the Silver Earring
• Surgeon Simulator 2013
• The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
• To The Moon
• Two Worlds
• Unreal Tournament GOTY
• Xenonauts

Additionally, the transfer is a one-time deal. Once the game is imported, it will be removed from the source Steam account. As such, if users wish to play the game again via Steam, they will have to purchase said game again.

To connect Steam and GOG libraries, users simply have to sign into their Steam accounts via the GOG Connect website. Steam profiles have to be set to public to be accessed.
