Various specs and images of the iPhone 7 Plus have emerged online for several months now, and latest leaks show the upcoming Apple phablet in the Rose Gold color.

Apple is all set to launch the next-generation iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus at an event in September. The upcoming smartphones should be packed with top-end features, but Apple has not revealed any detail about these devices.

Speculations are rife that Apple is planning an event on Sept. 7 where the company will unveil the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. Preorders for the mobile phones are expected to start from Sept. 9 and a subsequent release date of Sept. 16.

The latest leaked image of the iPhone 7 Plus in Rose Gold comes courtesy of PhoneArena. The photo is in line with some of the previous rumors. The handset shows off a dual-camera setup, which is expected to improve picture quality. The antenna bands at the top and bottom are not prominently visible. The unit also has "iPhone" printed on the bottom of the handset.

Previous rumors have suggested that the iPhone 7 will not have a physical home button but it will include a pressure sensitive home button. The recently leaked image just shows the back of the iPhone 7 Plus, so there is no way to confirm rumors about the home button.

It has become very difficult for companies such as Apple to keep the images of its unannounced phones, or its parts, from leaking ahead of its official launch. This is not the first time leaked images of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have surfaced online. Recently, an image of the Space Black version of the iPhone 7 Plus was also spotted on the internet.

No specs details are available from the latest leaked image of the Rose Gold iPhone 7 Plus, but rumors suggest that the iPhone 7 Plus will come running on the company's A10 processor. The iPhone 6s Plus has 2 GB of RAM, but rumors claim that the iPhone 7 Plus will come with 3 GB of RAM to boost overall performance.

Previous versions of the iPhones were not waterproof but the next-generation Apple smartphone could be water-resistant.

The leaked photo seems very convincing. However, it could also be a dummy unit. iFans will have to wait another few weeks before Apple officially takes the wraps off the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus and confirms the design, specs, pricing and more of both the smartphones.
