Microsoft has found itself in another sticky situation with the Xbox One, as another high-profile video game will perform better on the PlayStation 4. On Twitter, BioWare, the developer of Dragon Age: Inquisition, has confirmed that the game will run at 1080p on the PlayStation 4 and 900p on the Xbox One.

Interestingly enough, and definitely a clear proof that the PlayStation 4 is the superior console, the developer said that 900p was the best it could get from the Xbox One, though BioWare did not say it in those exact words.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is the latest video game to perform better on the PlayStation 4, which is one of the reasons the console is wiping the floor with the Xbox One in the sales department. It's a tough pill to swallow for Microsoft and Xbox One fans, but the writing is on the wall, and it has never been this clear.

It would be quite interesting how Microsoft or Phil Spencer react to what is happening because we doubt anyone at the company could really come out and say at this time that the Xbox One is on the same level as the PlayStation 4. As gamers and consumers, we can see for ourselves what is really going on, and thus make a purchasing decision based on that.

At this point, if Microsoft wants to compete with Sony, the company may have no choice but to cut its losses. Having the Xbox One compete with the PlayStation 4 at the same price point while being unable to deliver multiplatform video games on the same level is complete madness, so the best thing to do right now is to slash the price to $299 in time for the holidays.

It is time for Microsoft to view the Xbox One for what it is. A decent video game console with a lot of cool features, but not something that can stand on the same level as the PlayStation 4. The faster the software maker realizes this, the quicker it can make the necessary changes going forward.
