A little over a month ago, the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus went official, but it quickly became a rarity of sorts — it's unclear whether it's because of insurmountable demand, insufficient production or a mix of the two.

Fast-forward to today, it's now back at most Apple stores in the United States. This goes without saying, but there's a good chance that supplies will be quickly cleaned out, considering that the larger iPhone 7 with that particular color option has plenty of fans out there.

This news comes from Mac Rumors, and using the dedicated website for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus availability iStockNow, the Apple-focused outlet found that the smartphone in question started hitting shelves at several retail stores of the Cupertino brand.

At the time of this writing, the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus is up for grabs across a couple of states, including Nevada, Colorado and Kansas, to name a few.

A quick word on how iStockNow tracks availability of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus: It uses Google Maps to provide info in real time regarding the two handsets at Apple stores, and it goes beyond the United States too. Mac Rumors notes that the details are likely based on the "reservation system backend" of the smartphone maker.

Interestingly enough, the 128 GB variant appears to be the more popular option compared with the 256 GB model.

Now, as mentioned earlier, stocks will probably sell like hotcakes. That said, it's advised to phone in a reservation at a local retailer or place a reservation online as soon as possible.

As a little refresher, the 128 GB iPhone 7 Plus in Jet Black will hold buyers back by $869, and the 256 GB variant by $969, and it's available across the four major U.S. carriers AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.

It's also worth pointing out that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus recently became available without a carrier directly from Apple, allowing users to have the option to choose which service provider they prefer at a later date.

Long story short, the highly coveted Apple-branded flagship clad in what proved to be the most popular color option is now widespread, and those who have been itching to get their hands on it better act quick.

With all said and done, will you be grabbing the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus now that it has become pretty much widely available? If so, feel free to hit us up in the comments section to let us know.
