Microsoft is offering a hefty discount on its Surface Book Bundle, but potential customers should act fast, as the offer only lasts until Oct. 26.

The standard price of the special bundle would amount to $1,872.98, but Microsoft is taking $259.98 from that price should you choose to purchase a Surface Book with essentials.

The bundle, which has a starting price of $1,613, comes with an extended service warranty of two years. The plan covers accidental spills and drops, which is great news for clumsy users. What is more, customers get to choose from multiple sleeves that give extra protection against such mishaps. The Surface Book sleeves are available in a slew of styles fit for every personality, from neutral solids to trendy chevrons and everything in between.

Last, but not least, the bundle includes a subscription to Office 365 that's good for one year.

The Surface Book was commended for its power and versatility, as the 2-in-1 serves as a productivity-oriented device but maintains entertainment capabilities by turning into a neat tablet that features its own pen.

The notebook comes with security measures such as a facial recognition camera, making it easy for users to log in. Thanks to Windows Hello, Surface Book recognizes the user and grants user access without requiring the input of a password.

Those who want to go the extra mile can opt for a true powerhouse Surface Book that normally costs $3,199.

For that solid price, customers get the sixth generation of Intel i7 CPU backed by 16 GB of RAM and an internal storage space of 1 TB. A discrete GPUS is also included, powering up a 13.5-inch PixelSense touch screen display.

The Surface Pen and Windows 10 Pro are included in the bundle, regardless if you choose the basic or 1 TB configuration.

The main technical specs of the basic bundle are the sixth generation of Intel's Core i5 SoC, backed by 8 GB of RAM and offering an internal HDD in capacity of 256 GB. The screen is the same as with the $3,199 variant, a 13.5-inch PixelSense touch screen display that plays nice with the Surface Pen and commands all the advantages of Windows 10 Pro.

Microsoft fans can go to the official page to configure their device.

If you need more incentives to purchase a Surface Book, know that Microsoft delivered some pretty important firmware updates to the device during the summer, granting its 2-in-1 extended battery life.
