The Sony PlayStation 4 Pro release date is just right around the corner and fans are wondering how many games will be optimized to take advantage of the improvements the console has to offer. Day 1 will have over 30 titles available that are optimized in several ways.

Thanks to the upgraded hardware specs of the PS4 Pro, these titles will have higher resolution and better frame rates. Some games may hit the well-sought-after 4K resolution, while others might have to be upscaled to reach this peak. Whatever the outcome, all 30 plus video games are expected to perform better one way or the other.

For those who are wondering, most of the over 30 games have already been released, with only Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered being the only titles not released yet. The unreleased Call of Duty games are expected to come with all the features up and running, according to Sony. However, other titles on the list will require an update.

The European PlayStation Blog revealed the number of titles and their names, and they can be seen below:

Not a bad list, right? It can only go up from here, so gamers will have a lot of 4K or upscaled 4K games to choose from once the console hits store shelves next week. The PS4 Slim is also available so you might be confused as to which one is right for you. Worry not, we can help with that little problem.

In a few months from now, the PS4 Pro will have some serious competition from the Nintendo Switch. But not only that, Microsoft is planning to release what it calls the most powerful video game console ever made with 6 Teraflops of GPU power. The device is called Project Scorpio, and set to hit store shelves in 2017.

We should learn more about the future of the console at the launch event in NYC next week.
